The Alexey von Schlippe Gallery at UConn Avery Point organizes and hosts four art exhibitions each year. The exhibits feature either historical or contemporary art, and are planned with both the university and local communities in mind.

Avery Memorial Association

The Avery Memorial Association is a family genealogical organization which cares for the Memorial site of the Avery Hive, the first burial ground in Groton, and the Ebenezer Avery House, a makeshift hospital after the 1781 Battle at Fort Griswold.


Avery-Copp Museum

Built c. 1800, the Avery-Copp House Museum is a time capsule of domestic life as experienced over the past 200 years. Our purpose is to engage the public in learning about the history of Groton and the surrounding community.


Black Leaves Project

Black Leaves Project is an all-Black, all-male, queer-inclusive dance company specializing in modern ballet, highlighting the stories and perspectives of Black men in America. We explore themes related to identity and self-actualization: questions of masculinity, sexuality, religion, and race.

Cape Verdean Santiago Society Inc

In 1939, immigrants from Cape Verde came to create the Santiago Society, an ethnic social club situated in Norwich. The structure was lost to fire in 2006 and in 2022, the Society was resurrected. Our mission is to celebrate cultural diversity.


Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut, Inc.

CFA is a nonprofit agency providing childcare, and physical and mental health services for children in school, office and home based settings. Providers weave the creative arts into their work as educators and health providers to support children and families creating happy, productive lives.

Founded in 1963, the Colchester Historical Society's mission is to enlighten the community to the rich history of Colchester. The Society does this through exhibits at the Colchester History Museum as well as programs and events throughout the year.
