Are you part of the social & community services sector, with a school, municipality, or library, and want to engage with your peers who are improving health and wellness through the arts?  Find out about programs available for local referrals, discover new forms of art-based programs for health and wellness, and connect with potential new collaborators.  Learn, share and be inspired by arts-based collaborative health and wellness efforts in the region and beyond.  Event includes:

  • Coffee and networking with co-host information tables
  • Welcome: Rodney Butler, Chairman, Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation
  • Introduction: Wendy Bury, Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition
  • Remarks by:  State Senator Heather Somers, co-Chair of Public Health Committee and Bill Stanley, Vice President, Development & Community Relations, Yale New Haven Health, Lawrence & Memorial Hospital
  • Keynote:  Judy Dworin, Judy Dworin Performance Project, Inc.,  Founder, Executive & Artistic Director of Judy Dworin Performance Project is an award-winning organization whose work on stage, in schools and in prison communities sparks awareness about social issues and provides compelling experiences through multi-arts performance and residencies in the community.

    • Common Thread Project (Reliance Health, UCFS, The Light House, Horses Healing Humans)
    • The Light House (a project with Riverfront Children’s Center and Emerson Theater Collaborative)
