Performing Arts InterSECT
Southeastern Connecticut is home to a robust and diverse performing arts sector dedicated to the creation, production and presentation of dance, music, theatre, spoken word, puppetry, opera and more.
Together, SECT’s performing arts organizations provide hundreds of public programs annually, serve more than 100,000 people annually, and help drive the regional economy.
From small, local musical groups enriching our communities, to large organizations with national and international audiences, our region’s acclaimed performing arts providers are dedicated to innovation, creativity, entertainment, training and education.
The Southeastern CT Performing Arts Organizations Initiative, called Performing Arts InterSECT, is a collective and collaborative project for performing arts organizations in our region.
A printed and online brochure provides arts and cultural lovers with a resource for locating, visiting and referring organizations of interest. The coordinated marketing effort will increase the exposure of many of our region’s performing arts assets through cross-promotion, streamlined printed and online information, and consistent marketing materials for region. It also serves to provide our communities with streamlined information about performing arts in our region.
