Elizabeth Shapiro – Director of Arts, Preservation and Museums
In this position, she oversees the operation of the Connecticut Office of the Arts and the State Historic Preservation Office. Shapiro spent six years as the Executive Director of the Connecticut League of History Organizations, the professional networking and support organization for volunteers and professionals working in public history in Connecticut.
CT Small Business Development Center – Provides professional, confidential, no-cost business advising, and COVID-19 advising on Economic Injury Disaster Loan and other SBA programs.
Matt Pugliese – Associate Director
“Matt Pugliese has spent his career working in the performing arts, community development, and higher education. Prior to joining the CT Small Business Development Center, he served as Executive Producer and Managing Director of Connecticut Repertory Theatre, the professional theatre at UCONN-Storrs and as Executive Director of Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theatre in Middletown, CT. He taught Financial Management in UCONN’s MFA in Arts Administration degree program.”
