The Leffingwell House Museum, circa 1675, shows a two room home changing into a pre-revolutionary tavern, ending as a gentleman's residence by 1776. Interpreters evoke the independent spirit and lifestyle of early America using displays of original artifacts from 1645 to the Civil War.

The Pequot Museum brings to life the story of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. As the largest Native American museum in the world it serves as a major resource on the histories and cultures of indigenous peoples in the northeast.

Mitchell College, a small liberal arts college with bachelor degree programs in sciences, education, and professional areas, offers theater productions, Speakers Series events and choral ensemble performances. The College hosts many events for local arts groups as well.

MNL has served the greater Mystic community for over 120 years. MNL offers over 45,000 books, DVDs and CDs for check-out to all Connecticut residents. Computers, printers, scanners and fax-machine are available. The library houses a collection of artwork, and monthly exhibits of local artists.
