The grant program is open to Connecticut Artists working in any artistic discipline, and supports:
- artists / creatives who are the primary creator of original works of art;
- folk & traditional artists who engage in artistic work that is deeply rooted and reflective of a community’s heritage (see CT Office of the Arts definition for Traditional Arts) and;
- artists / creatives who participate with a group or collaboration in the creation of original works of art (one artist serves as the lead applicant.)
