FINAL TOUR OF THE SEASON!  SEPTEMBER 14th:  Eugene O’Neill’s New London features Preston Whiteway, Executive Director of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, and Robert Richter, Director of Arts Programming at Connecticut College.

Preston Whiteway has served as Executive Director for 10 years and leads the venerable and vital institution and its many national programs into the future. The O’Neill is home to the National Playwrights Conference, National Music Theater Conference, National Puppetry Conference, Cabaret & Performance Conference, National Theater Institute, and National Critics Institute. Under his leadership, the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center was awarded the 2010 Regional Theater Tony Award and the 2016 National Medal of the Arts.

Robert Richter serves as the Director of Arts Programming at Connecticut College, where he oversees the onStage at Connecticut College performing arts series, artist residency programs and technical support for the college’s performance venues. He has contributed to numerous books on Eugene O’Neill and his book Eugene O’Neill and Dat Ole Davil Sea was a finalist for the 2005 Connecticut Book Award. He was chair of the Eugene O’Neill Society’s Ninth International Conference of Eugene O’Neill held in New London in June 2014.

$50 per person to benefit the Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition. Light refreshments and beverages included. Tours depart from and return to Fort Trumbull in New London.
